What is Windows Azure?

Microsoft Windows Azure cloud storage platform Cloud4BizzWindows Azure is the public Cloud Storage Platform of Microsoft. It consists of 6 big hypermodern datacenters in:

  • Amsterdam
  • Dublin
  • Chicago
  • San Antonio (Texas)
  • Singapore
  • Hong Kong

We use the Amsterdam and Dublin datacenters to store your information. Your information will be copied twice so a copy will be stored in Amsterdam and the other in Dublin. One of our two own SharePoint Enterprise Edition Servers is located very close to the Amsterdam Windows Azure datacenter. This means a fast and high performance connection.

‘Unlimited’ large archive

As Windows Azure offers so much storage capacity, it is a outstanding place to store your archive online. You can upload your digitized archive files in Cloud4bIzz where they will be encrypted with 256-bits AES file encryption prior to being stored in two geographic different locations in Window Azure.
With the Record Center functionality of SharePoint 2010 you can meet the legal retention obligations. Cloud4Bizz will make sure that your archive files are stored for a certain period. After the retention period you will receive a message that the retention period is over. You can then delete the file.
